Origins and Early Success

WEB Force India Formula One Team Limited, commonly known as Force India and later Sahara Force India, was a Formula One racing team and constructor based in Silverstone, UK. The team competed under an Indian license from 2008 until the 2018 Hungarian Grand Prix.

Vijay Mallya's Ownership

Force India was founded by Indian businessman Vijay Mallya, who also owned the Kingfisher beer brand. Under Mallya's ownership, Force India became the only Indian team to ever compete in Formula One.
